Relocation Process

Your Requirements
We will send you our arrival questionnaire for you to complete with your personal details and criteria for your new home. Once received, we will contact you by phone to review your requirements in detail and explain the various options on the rental market, including price-per-square-meter rates in different areas.

Required Documents
To apply for your chosen apartment, we will send you a list of the documents required from both you and your employer.
To rent in Switzerland, you must earn at least three times the net rent and must not be in a probationary employment period. Otherwise, the landlord may reject your application or require specific guarantees.
An increasing number of private landlords are taking out insurance against rental payment defaults.

Registration
You must register within 14 days of your arrival in Switzerland.
We will accompany you in person or provide you with all the necessary information.

Banking
We will assist you with information on opening a bank account in Switzerland.
You will need one to receive your monthly salary.

Housing Search
Turnover in the rental market can be very rapid—sometimes within 24 hours—as demand far exceeds supply. We utilize all available channels and private sources to select the best apartments on the market that closely match your criteria. We accompany you to viewings of selected apartments and houses and offer an independent analysis, providing information on the neighborhood, schools, public transport, etc.
Applications must be submitted as quickly as possible. To ensure the best results, we always follow up on our clients' applications. Rental Agreement
We will review all documents you receive from the property management company or landlord. Once you have signed the rental agreement and returned it to the management company, further documents will follow. These relate to the security deposit account and other information regarding the apartment or house you are renting. We will provide guidance during this stage as well.
We will accompany you on the day the property is handed over.

Health Insurance
Health insurance is mandatory in Switzerland. We will help you select a suitable insurance package.
The insurance advisor can also provide advice on other types of insurance available in Switzerland—such as personal liability insurance, which, while not legally mandatory, is held by almost everyone.
